Dave Santillanes is a Signature Member of the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters. He has received a number of awards both for his plein air and studio work, including the Award of Excellence at Estes Park Plein Air 2003 and the Grand Teton National Park Purchase Award at Arts for the Parks 2000. He was selected as one of Southwest Art Magazine’s Artist to Watch in 2003
