Loveland sculptor, George Walbye, is one of the five founding artists whose work was selected by the Loveland High Plains Art Council in 1984 for permanent display in Benson Park Sculpture Garden. George’s sculptures, “High Plains Warrior/Windsong”, were installed in 1985. In 1997, George was honored a second time when his sculpture, “D.R’s Saddle was added to the Children’s Garden in Benson Park. George has created several life-size bronzes installed throughout the United States.
