This class will take the artist through the processes of adjusting and preparing digital images of their work for a variety of applications including:
• digital slides
• offset printing/ads (business cards, post cards, etc)
• websites/e-mail
• online show submissions (Z-app)
Through this process, the artist will gain a thorough understanding of the size and resolution equation (a fundamental requirement for all things done in Photoshop).
Other areas covered will include:
• cropping images
• adding text, working with layers
• cleaning images
• adjusting color
• understanding the different file formats
• general understanding of the tools available in PhotoShop®
Prerequisites:
This class assumes a working knowledge of computers. Basic Mac or Windows skills: copying/pasting, right-clicking (contextual menus), finding files, switching between programs, exploring Windows.
Class Materials
• Laptop computer PC or Mac (with Photoshop CS, Elements or Photoshop [any version])
o Be sure to bring your laptop charger
• Color digital photograph to work with during class
• Notebook for note taking
  Dave has over 12 years of PhotoShop experience and for 8 years has been the Digital Imaging Manager at Digi-Graphics in Fort Collins. He has been an award winning oil painter for 15 years. That’s what makes this workshop so valuable; you’re getting the opportunity to learn from a master of both crafts.
