This workshop will take the artist through the process of photographing their artwork with a digital camera and ensuring accurate color throughout.    Once digitized the artist will color correct their work in PhotoShop® "by the numbers" and use the image to design a simple postcard for offset printing. Through this process, the artist will be introduced to the principles of color-management and how it relates to accurate printing.

Other skills covered in the class will be:
• calibrating a monitor
• understanding whitepoint
• ICC profiles, and
• further understanding of tools available in PhotoShop®.

Prerequisites
PhotoShop 1 or equivalent PhotoShop Skills

Class Materials
• Laptop computer PC or Mac (with Photoshop CS, Elements or Photoshop [any version])
o Be sure to bring your laptop charger
• Color digital photograph to work with during class
• Notebook for note taking
