Scott was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and earned his BFA in Painting/Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1982. He has been painting full-time since 2001, and has since accumulated numerous awards. In August of 2007, Scott was written up in Southwest Art Magazine as an “Ártist to Watch.” Working primarily in oils, his oeuvre includes landscape, still life, figure, and portrait work. He is also an accomplished watercolorist, children’s book author and illustrator, and performance artist. Scott makes his home in Loveland, Colorado, with his artist wife, Mollie, and their five children.
